Song leads McCall-Mona Yongpyung Open 2R as she looks to win wire-to-wire

Song Ga-eun (23-MG, Saemaeul) took a one-shot lead after the second round of the McCall-Mona Yongpyong Open on the Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour.

토토사이트 Song carded three birdies and no bogeys for a 3-under 69 on day two at Birch Hill Country Club (Par 72) in Yongpyong County, Gangwon Province.

Her 11-under 133 total puts her at the top of the leaderboard, two shots ahead of second-place Lee Ji-young (22-9, 135).

Song, who won Rookie of the Year honors two years ago, has struggled a bit this year. After a tie for eighth at the KLPGA Championship in April, she hasn’t had a top-10 finish in seven tournaments.

She continued to work hard in practice to redeem herself, and after tying for the lead in the first round the day before, she held onto it.

If she can maintain her momentum in the final three rounds, she will be able to claim a wire-to-wire victory and her third career title.

After the second round, Song said, “My shot feeling is so good that if I make a few more birdie putts in the final round, I think I can win,” adding, “You can’t be a top player if you can’t overcome nerves. I will definitely overcome it,” she said.

Meanwhile, behind Song and Lee, Ahn Sun-ju (37-National Beef), Lee Ju-mi (28-Golden Blue) and Ji Han-sol (27-Eastern E&C) formed a tie for third at 8-under 136.

Ko Go-woo (21-Samcheon-ri) is in sixth place at 7-under par 137.

Hwang Yoo-min (20-LOTTE) and Kim Min-byul (19-Hite Jinro), who are considered favorites to win the Rookie of the Year, are tied for seventh (6-under 138).

Lim Jin-hee (25-Angkang E&C), who won the event wire-to-wire last year, finished tied for 28th (3-under par 141).

Fellow rookie sensation Bang Shin-sil (19-KB Financial Group) missed the cut after dropping two strokes on the day.토토사이트추천
