SSG Choo Shin-soo, replaced due to an ankle injury during base running… After checking the condition, a hospital examination was decided
Choo Shin-soo, the oldest SSG Landers player, was replaced due to an injury during base play.
Choo Shin-soo started as the designated hitter in the 4th game of the season against the Hanwha Eagles in the 2023 Shinhan Bank SOL KBO League held at SSG Landers Field in Incheon on the 12th and recorded 2 hits, 1 run and 1 ball in 3 at-bats. 메이저놀이터
Choo Shin-soo got off to base with a double in his first at-bat in the bottom of the first inning, and got off to a good start. In the second at-bat at the bottom of the 3rd inning, when SSG was trailing 0-3, he came out as the lead batter and got on base with a surprise bunt hit, then Choi Jung-jung’s 1-run outfield sacrifice fly gave the team a run.
He did his part in the fourth at-bat as well. At the end of the 7th inning, when SSG trailed 1-4, he reached base with a ball that hit him with one out and first base, and advanced to third base when Choi Joo-hwan doubled.
However, Shin-soo Choo sprained his right foot while stepping on third base, and Shin-soo Choo immediately collapsed complaining of pain. SSG immediately replaced Choo Shin-soo with Choi Sang-min, the main runner.
An ambulance waiting at the stadium entered the ground, but Choo Shin-soo moved to the locker room with the help of trainers without going to the hospital.
The SSG club said, “Choo Shin-soo suffered pain in his right ankle during base running, so he was replaced to protect the player. After checking his condition, we plan to decide whether to go to the hospital or not.”
